Moosonee Transportation Limited is seeking a Heavy-Duty Apprentice Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities: • Perform maintenance & repairs on both light & heavy-duty vehicles, equipment, trailers, etc. • Diagnose mechanical issues & implement effective solutions. • Ensure compliance with safety & operational standards. • Order parts, complete PO’s, etc.

Qualifications: • Proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic (2 nd year apprentice preferred) • Drivers license required (AZ preferred). Ability to driver standard transmission required. • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, gravel trucks, manlifts, forklifts, etc. preferred • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Good computer skills • Previous experience performing safeties using the DriveOn safety program an asset.

Travel & Accommodations: • Travel expenses to and from Moosonee as well as accommodations, provided by Moosonee Transportation Limited. • Company vehicle while in Moosonee
